ITALY, Lucania, Metapontum, (c.400-350 B.C.), silver stater or nomos (7.266 grams), obv. head of female (Kore) to right, wearing earring, rev. corn ear, META to left, stalk to right with pomegranate above, (cf.S.404, Noe [NN&M 47, 1984] 491, SNG ANS 370, SNG Munich 978 (all same dies). Nearly very fine and rare.
