SICILY, Acragas (Agrigentum), (c.520-472 B.C.), silver didrachm, (8.692 grams), obv. eagle with closed wings standing to left, AK behind, RA in front, rev. crab within circular incuse field, corn grain below, (cf.S.709, SNG Cop.40 [Pl.1 same dies]. cf.SNG ANS 956-7 [similar but eagle right]). Slightly off centred, of good silver with grey patina, very fine and a very rare type.
