THRACE, Callatis, (3rd-2nd century B.C.), silver drachm (or octobol Sear) (4.990 grams), obv. head of young Herakles to right clad in lion skin, rev. **KALLATI* between ear of barley and club on left and bow case on right, monogram M to left, (S.1659 [£225], Pick 197 var., cf.SNG Stancomb 62 variant). Very fine and very rare, monogram unpublished.
