MACEDON, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (15.996 grams), Perga mint, posthumous issue uncertain year 20-29 = 202-192 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin with dotted border, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, K[] in left field, with anchor countermark over date letter, to right **[ALEXAN]DROU, (cf.S.6713, Price 2932-2943, cf.BMC 2934a, 2939, Muller 1237-1245). Cleaned, edge and surface porosity, nearly very fine/very good, scarce.
