IONIA, Ephesos, (350-288 B.C.), AE 14, (2.356 grams), obv. bee with open wings dividing E - **F, rev. stag kneeling to left, head to right, astragalos above, to left the magistrate's name **HROGEITWN* (Erogeiton), (S.-, SNG Cop. -, SNG von Aulock -, cf.BMC 63-66). Attractive dark brown patination, extremely fine and a rare type, the magistrate not previously known for any coinage.
