EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy IV, (221-205 B.C.), AE 34 (drachm), (32.1 grams), Alexandria mint, issued 246-221 B.C., obv. diademed head of Zeus Ammon to right, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front cornucopiae, around **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIOU, between legs **SE* monogram, (S.7814, Sv. 992, SNG Cop. 205, Pitchfork 35-6); others Ptolemy II, (285-246 B.C.), AE 23 (obol) (12.3 grams), Tyre mint, obv. & rev. similar with club to left, (cf.S.7786, Sv. 708, Pitchfork 25); another (5.2 grams), similar AE 20 (hemiobol), (Sv.709, Pitchfork 27); another Ptolemy VI, (180-145 B.C.), AE 20 (diobol), similar rev. two eagles, (S.7900, Sv. 1426, Pitchfork 83-86); and a Carthaginian AE 20, obv. Tanit head left, rev. horse head right, palm tree before, (S.6528). Fine - very fine. (5)
