TIBERIUS, (A.D. 14-37), silver denarius, Lugdunum mint, issued A.D. 14-37, (3.786 grams), obv. laureate head of Tiberius to right, around [TI CAES]AR DIVI AVG F AVGVSTVS, rev. PONTIF MAXIM, Livia seated to right, with vertical sceptre and branch, (S.1763, RIC 30, RSC 16a, BMC 48). Slightly of centre on obverse and reverse, otherwise good very fine and very scarce in this condition.

Ex Noble Numismatics Sale 45 (lot 4451). Of Biblical importance as the issue is often described as the Tribute Penny (Mark 12: 14-17).
