AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued 13 B.C. (3.364 grams), obv. bare head of Augustus to right around CAESAR AVGVSTVS, rev. around C SVLPICIVS PLATORIN, Augustus and Agrippa seated half left on bisellium on platform ornated with rostra on left upright staff, (S.1599 [£500 VF], RIC 407, BMC 115). Banker's marks on Augustus's cheek and on the reverse, otherwise fine/good fine and very rare.
