SEPTIMIUS SEVERUS, (A.D.193-211), silver denarius, (3.226 grams), Rome mint, commemorative issue, struck shortly after his death in 211, obv. bearded bare head to right, around DIVO SEVERO PIO, rev. CONSECRATIO around, funeral pyre, (cf.S.1819, RIC 191f, RSC 89). Good very fine and rare.
