ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver antoninianus, Rome mint, issued A.D. 219, (5.026 grams), obv. radiate bust of Elagabalus draped and cuirassed to right, around IMP CAES ANTONINVS AVG, rev. around FIDES EXERCITVS, Fides seated to left, holding eagle and standard, another standard before her, (S.-, RIC 70, RSC 32a). Brilliant, struck on a large flan, nearly extremely fine, rare.
