ELAGABALUS, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 220-222, (2.502 grams), obv. laureate bust of Elagabalus draped to right, around IMP ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, rev. around P M TR P V COS IIII P P, Elagabalus standing to half left before altar, holding club, star to left, (S.2112, RIC 52, RSC 213a). Slightly off centre, otherwise extremely fine.
