ITALY, Campania, Neapolis (Naples), (c.340-240 B.C.), silver nomos, stater or didrachm, (6.974 grams), obv. head of nymph to right, bunch of grapes behind, rev. bull walking to right, crowned by Nike flying right above, below **PA* monogram, below exergue **[NEO]POLIT[WS]*, (cf.S.307, Sambon 439, SNG ANS 318 [same dies], SNG Cop. 399). Off centred on the obverse, otherwise nearly very fine and a scarce symbol.
