ITALY, Bruttium, Croton, (420-390 B.C.), silver stater, (7.550 grams), obv. eagle standing to right head to left, standing on bull's skull, closed wings, dentils in exergue, rev. tripod-lebes with neck and three handles, in field to right qPO, to left branch with berry, (cf.S.470, SNG ANS 341, cf.Gale 43). Grey tone, very fine, rare.
