ILLYRIA, Dyrrhachium, (350-300 B.C.), silver stater, (8.308 grams), obv. Pegasos with pointed wing, flying to right, **D* below, rev. head of Athena in Corinthian helmet to right, with club and A behind, part of dolphin above, (cf.S.1895, Cal. 32 [same dies = Leu Sale 15 (May 4-5, 1976) lot 242). Bright, off centred on the reverse, otherwise nearly extremely fine and a rare variant for this type stater of this mint.
