M. AURELIUS SCAURUS, (c.118 B.C.), silver denarius, Narbo mint, (3.670 grams), obv. Roma, Phrygian helmeted head right, M AVRELI before, ROMA and * behind, rev. Bituitus in biga to right, SCAVRI ligated below, L.LIC.CN.DOM in exergue, (S.157 [£55 VF], Cr.282/1, Syd.523). Even grey patina and bright reverse, light edge porosity on reverse, very fine and scarce.
