L. CASSIUS CAECIANUS, (102 B.C.), silver brockage denarius, (3.400 grams), obv. Ceres bust to left, CAEICIAN, A behind, rev. incuse of the obverse, (S.-, Cr.321/1, Syd.594). Cleaned, light obverse porosity, otherwise very fine/nearly extremely fine and rare.

Ex CNG with ticket. Roman Republican brockages are all rare and are only occassionly seen. This magistrate was not in the Pitchfork collection (in Noble Numismatics Sale 62).
