MN. FONTEIUS C.F., (85 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.806 grams), obv. Vejovis laureate head to right, MN FONTEI behind, C.[F]. before, thunderbolt below, rev. infant winged Genius seated on goat below, caps of dioscuri either side, thyrsus below, all within laurel wreath, (S.272 [£75 VF], Cr.353/1d, Syd.724b); another (3.784 grams) obv. similar AP monogram before, rev. with dioscuri caps above on reverse, (S.271 [£55 VF], Cr.353/1a, Syd.724). Good fine - very fine. (2)
