CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 210, Rome mint, (3.916 grams), obv. laureate head to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG BRIT, rev. Virtus in military dress, standing to half right, foot on helmet, holding parazonium and reversed spear, around PONT TR P XIII COS III, (cf.S.1946, RIC 117b, RSC 478). Extremely fine.
