JULIA SOAEMIAS, mother of Elagabalus, (A.D. 218-222), silver denarius, Rome mint, (1.645 grams), obv. draped bust of Julia Soaemias to right, around IVLIA SOAEMIAS AVG, rev. VENVS CAE L ESTIS Venus standing half left holding apple and sceptre, star in left field, (S.2170, RIC 241, RSC 8a, BMC 49-51). Good very fine and scarce.
