SEVERUS ALEXANDER, (A.D. 222-235), AE sestertius, issued 231-235, at Rome mint, (18.538 grams), obv. laureate head with drapery on far shoulder of Severus Alexander to right, around IMP ALEXANDER PIVS AVG, rev. Providentia standing facing head to left, by altar, holding two corn ears and cornucopiae, around PROVIDENTIA AVG, SC in field, (cf.S.2265, RIC 642, C.503). Attractive fine - very fine.
