SINGAPORE. special album of black and white photographs of Singapore entitled 'Souvenir of Singapore 1914' and 'Presented with Compliments by F.P.Baur, Manager, Grand Hotel de l'Europe'. The album (25x16cm) contains twelve scenes of Singapore including the exterior and interior of the hotel, the Cricket Club, Town Hall, Supreme Court and Europe Hotel, Anderson Bridge, Harbour View, Market Scene, Chinese Quarters, Impounding Reservoir, Chinese Temple, Rubber Tapping, Plying Restaurant and Botanical Gardens; light card covers with gilt lettering and interleaves between each photo, the spine and back cover worn and torn, otherwise the interior complete and all photographs clean and in good condition. A rare early 20th Century photographic record of Singapore.
