WESTERN SAMOA, World War I, emergency issue, Bank of New Zealand one pound (6th issue) overprinted Government of Samoa Currency Note, Apia, No.E 930961 (1915) (Sutherland 299; not in Pick, Griffin p.34, one of 20,000 forms sent by registered post 3 April 1915). Pin hole in each corner for displaying, bottom left tip torn off otherwise fine and excessively rare, the first to appear at auction.
