EARLY TASMANIAN CHEQUES PERIOD 1829-1842 MADE OUT ON VARIOUS BANK CHEQUE FORMS BY JAMES KELLY, one as 'Advance to Whalers' Bank of Van Dieman's Land 11th April 1835 fifteen pounds, another to Captn Nichols 15th April 1837 for ten pounds, to self (5), to others (Pearson, Rogers, Lucas (brothers) and receipt from Derwent and Tamar), Fire, Life and Marine Assurance Company, cheque to James Kelly from Thes. Y. Lowes, imprint Bock, Hobart Town, Colonial Bank (2) Bank of Van Diemens' Land (9). Fine - good very fine. (13)
