VIKINGS OF YORK, in name of Cnut, (c.895-902), silver penny, (1.442 grams), obv. inverted patriarchal cross, around CNVT REX seperated and arranged around the edge, rev. +CVN NI TI, small cross with pellets, (S.993, SCBI 42 No. 719, N.501). Attractive dark tone, good very fine or better.
