IRELAND, Hiberno-Norse issue penny, Phase V, c.1065-1075, obv. crude bust to left, with group of pellets on neck, rev. long cross type similar to that of Aethelred II, with C, fleur, pellet within circle and pellet in each corner, (S.6138, SCBI BM [1966], Nos.164-166 [same dies], cf.Spink 'Viking' Sale March 14, 2001 lot 1136). Very fine and rare.
