IRELAND, Sir Edward Stanley M.R.D.S., medal in copper 43mm, by I. Parkes, 1844, obv. bust left, rev. legend in 12 lines, 'Chairman of the Committee of Irish Manufacturers First and Zealous promotorof the exhibitions Royal Dublin Society, Ist Exhibition 1833, 1844; (BHM 2154, Eimer 1389).
Sir Edward Stanley , 14th Earl of Derby (1799-1869) Irish Secretary under Earl Grey. This medal was issued uin recognition of his services to the Royal Dublin Society.
