RUSSIA, Catherine II, copper gilt medal 66mm, by Waechter, to commemorate the restoration of Catherine to the Russian throne as Empress 1st June 1762, 'For Safety', probably issued as a Coronation medal, obv. bust of the personification of Russia in armour to left, Catherine reclining to right receiving the crown from Russia. Extremely fine and rare.
