RUSSIA, Nicholas I, bronze medals, 38mm (5, 1 as copper gilt), by G. Loos (1774-1843), series on the life of Nicholas I, medals struck in 1828 (2), 1829 (3), as commemoratives of various events, obv. Nicholas I head to right, rev. mostly with inscriptions within wreath, one with Nicholas receiving cross and sword from veiled female figure. As struck, several with proof-like field, mostly uncirculated and rare. (5)
