FRANCE, Louis the Pius, (814-840), silver denier, no mint name, 3rd issue after 822, obv. cross, dots in angles, rev. temple, both sides with blundered inscriptions, (Roberts 1223/1221 variant with reversed S in legend); other medieval issues including Byzantine, bracteates (3) etc. The first coin very fine, others poor - very fine. (5)
