KATANGA, National Bank of Katanga, ten francs, (1st December 1960), partly finished trial printing or essay by Waterlow and Sons, London. As Pick 5a but only the front of the note contains the underprint (showing the tint and Katanganese flag). The overprint with the portrait, design, legend and serial numbers has not been printed. Uncirculated.

The ten francs was never issued. Pick lists the remainder (P.5a) without serial numbers or date at US$500.
