THE BANK OF AUSTRALASIA, one pound, Portland, on card 18-, PORTLAND BAY in lower and side borders, stamped 'Specimen' lower right, in pencil in lower margin, `Octr 3rd 1853 - for new £5 & £10 notes see the alterations book'. Very fine and very rare.
