THE ROYAL BANK OF AUSTRALIA, one pound, Sydney 184-, imprint 'W.H. Bruce Engraver and Printer, Trump Street, King Street, Cheapside', unissued note form (cf MUR fig 217 and Nicholsn Sale lot 1601), Large horizontal tear along the horizontal fold at the left margin, other creases folds and minor tears, otherwise fine and extremely rare.

This lot belongs to a pair of recently discovered examples of these interesting notes with interest bearing feature and counterfail maragin on left hand side that were issued by the Bank founded by Ben Boyd of whaling fame.
