MACEDON, Kingdom of, Philip II (359-336 B.C.), AE 15, uncertain Macedonian mint, Amphipolis mint, (5.925 grams), obv. Apollo head to right with tainia, rev. naked youth on horse, above **FILOPPOU, below horse a snake, (cf.S.6698, M.201, SNG ANS 849, SNG Cop. 608). Attractive, good very fine and a rare symbol.
