MACEDON, Kingdom of Philip III, (323-316 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.072 grams), Babylon mint, issued 323-317 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right with lion skin, rev. Zeus seated to left, eagle in outstretched hand, wheel and N in lower left field, monogram **MTD* under throne, to right **FILIPPOU, below **BASILEWS, (cf.S.6749, Price P200, BMC P200a-b, Demanhur 4602-5, SNG Von Post 34 [This Coin]). Well centred on the obverse, otherwise nearly extremely fine.
