THRACE, The Thracian Cherronesos (Cardia?), (400-350 B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (2.132 grams), obv. forepart of lion looking back, rev. bucranium in one quarter, monogram A**G* in opposite corner, (cf.S.1603, BMC 23). Very fine.

An interesting bucranium (facing bull head with horns) symbol in the reverse field.
