EGYPT, Kingdom of, Ptolemy XII, (80-51 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, second reign issue 55-51 B.C., issued year 30 = 52-51 B.C., (13.516 grams), Alexandria mint, obv. head of Ptolemy XII to right wearing aegis, rev. eagle to left with closed wings, standing on thunderbolt, in front L **L* over head-dress of Isis, **PA* to right, around **PTOLEMAIOU BASILEWS*, (S.7948, Sv. 1840, SNG Cop 397, BMC 37, Pitchfork 124-7). Attractive very fine.
