ZEUGITANIA, Carthage, (c.241-221 B.C.), AE 27, (13.73 grams), obv. head of Tanit to left, crowned with wreath of corn, wearing earring with triple pendant and necklace, rev. free horse standing to right, palm tree with fruit behind, crescent before, (cf.S.6506, M.172, cf.SNG Cop. 344, cf.Visona 35 [dates 235-230 B.C.]). Chip in flan, brown tone, otherwise well centred, very fine and scarce.
