LUCIUS CAESIUS, (112-111 B.C.), silver denarius, Rome mint, (3.888 grams), obv. Vejovis head to left viewed from behind with thunderbolt, monogram of Roma behind, rev. The two Lares seated right, dog between them, monograms LA to left ER behind, L.CAESI in exergue, head of Vulcan and tongs above, (S.175 [£65], Cr.298/1, Syd.564). Good very fine.
