M. PORCIUS CATO, (89 B.C.), silver quinarius, Rome mint, (2.050 grams), obv. female bust to right, M.CATO behind, trident below, rev. Victory seated right, holding patera, VICTRIX in exergue, (S.248 [£140 EF], Cr.343/2b, Syd.597c, B.Porcia 7). Minor surface marks on reverse, toned, otherwise good very fine and scarce.
