PELOPONNESOS, Achaean League, hemidrachm, Megara (Megaris) mint (c.175-168 B.C.), mint mark cithera obv. Zeus head laureate right, rev, wreath with XA monogram, cithera above, across **DW* PO. (cf.S.2989, Clerk 120, BMC 75, SNG Cop. 264, McClean 6431-2). Very fine/nearly very fine, rare.

Ex Diakofto Hoard, found 1965 (ICGH 262) which contained 1601 Achaean League coins with full record and illustation on file with the British Museum. Purchased from Spink & Son, London, December 18, 1992.
