MACEDON, Kingdom of, Amyntas III, (389-383 and 381-369 B.C.), AE 16, issued Period II 381-269 B.C., (3.40 grams), obv. Herakles to right in lion skin, rev. eagle devouring serpent, above AMYNTA, (S.1512, SNG Cop.517-8, BMC 17-22). Dark patina, nearly very fine, scarce.
