ZEUGITANIA, Carthage, (c.300 B.C.), electrum stater, (7.394 grams), obv. head of Tanit to left, crowned with wreath of corn, wearing earring with triple pendants and necklace, pellet before, dotted border, rev. free horse standing to right, pellet below horse, single exergue line below, three dots below exergue, dotted border, (S.6464, Jenkins Group V No.280 [same dies, dies noted in Jenkins p.99, Pl.11], cf.SNG Cop. 975). Holed above head of Tanit, otherwise very fine.
