REPUBLIC, Struck Coinage, Anonymous Series, (225-212 B.C.), silver didrachm (quadrigatus), (6.80 grams), uncertain mint, obv. laureate janiform head of the Dioscuri, border of dots, no pellet under head, rev. Jupiter in quadriga to right, driven by Victory, Jupiter holds sceptre and hurls thunderbolt, in exergue ROMA incuse on tablet, (S.80, Cr.31/1 [Pl.4,12], Syd. 64b). Bright, nearly extremely fine, scarce.
