AUGUSTUS, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), silver denarius, Uncertain Spanish mint (Colonia Patricia), issued c.18-17/6 B.C. (3.59 grams), obv. bare head of Augustus to right around S P Q R CAESARI AVGVSTO, rev. VOT P SVSC PRO SAL ET RED I O M SACR around, Mars helmeted and cloaked, standing to left., right hand holding vertical vexillum, left hand with parazonium over shoulder, (S.-, RIC 150a, C.325, BMC 438). Banker's marks on Augustus's cheek and on the reverse, otherwise very fine/good fine and very rare.
