PROBUS, (A.D. 276-282), base silver antoninianus, Cyzicus mint (3.13 grams), obv. radiate bust to left of Probus in imperial mantle holding sceptre surmounted by eagle, around IMP C M AVR PROBVS P F AVG, rev. Sol in spread quadriga, CM below, around SOLI INVICTO, XXIQ in exergue, (cf.S.3371, RIC 913). Lightly toned with some original silvering, broad flan but weak in places, otherwise nearly extremely fine.
