THE PROVINCIAL AND SUBURBAN BANK LIMITED, five pounds, proof, issued at Melbourne, not dated (18 printed), No.08388, not signed, printed on unwatermarked paper, with imprint in under vignette 'Bradbury Wilkinson & Co London', with vignettes of female with grain and grapes in left frame, value tablets in corner, blue centre black with FIVE POUNDS all within rectangular blue ornate border with words VICTORIA at top and bottom, back with central FIVE in tablet, and facing heads of Queen Victoria at sides, black and blue on white/red and blue on white (Vort-Ronald type two, p.194-196 on bank and similar note but ten pounds, illustrated as fig 204 and 205). With two small pin-holes, folds, creases, slightly soiled, good fine.
