CARACALLA, (A.D. 198-217), silver denarius, issued 205, Rome mint, (3.344 grams), obv. laureate bust draped to right of Caracalla, around ANTONINVS PIVS AVG, rev. Salus seated to left, feeding snake arising from altar, around PONTIF TR P VIII COS II, (S.6860, RIC 82, RSC 422). Toned, good very fine, scarce.
