PHILIP I, (A.D. 244-249), AE sestertius, Rome mint, issued 249, (19.79 grams), obv. laureate bust to right, around IMP M IVL PHILIPPVS AVG, rev. Annona standing to left holding corn ears and cornucopiae, modius at feet, around ANNONA AVGG, S C across, (S.2591, RIC 168a, C.26). Brown black patina, sligfhtly rough surface, otherwise nearly extremely fine/good very fine, legends weaker.
