VICTORIA, 1893, set of four privately issued Great Britain pattern/proof four shillings, struck in (.925) silver, copper, Barton's metal (gold plated copper) and golden alloy. Obverse features a matronly bust of the Queen, similar to that by Thomas Brock on currency coinage. Reverse design of cruciform shields is akin to that of the 1887-1892 coins. Plain edge. One of only 850 sets issued. (4)
