EDWARD VIII, 1936, set of four privately issued pattern/proof Great Britain crowns in (.925) silver, copper, Barton's metal, and golden alloy. Obverse features uncrowned head of King sculpted by Donald R. Golding which is based on a combination of the 1936 submitted designs by McMillan and Paget. Reverse features coat of arms and supporters and legend ANNO 1936. Plain edge. One of only 850 sets issued. (4)
